I Am Jode Kechego.

An Indigenous medicine person from the Chippewa and Oneida Nations in southwest Ontario, Canada.  Kechego is also a recognized thought-leader and advocate for Indigenous sovereignty. A strong advocate for Indigenous culture and connection to the land, he has been conducting and participating in Indigenous ceremonies for 30 years. From 2009 to 2015 Kechego was a senior policy analyst and political advisor for the Union of Ontario Indians and the Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians. Prior to that, Kechego was a treaty researcher and land claims negotiator for nearly twenty years.
